AI Trends 2026
What's coming, and what should boards decide now?
Remy Gieling (1988) is one of the most in-demand AI keynote speakers in the Netherlands. He translates what happens in Silicon Valley, China and at Europe's AI frontrunners into concrete strategy for European boards — with European AI and AI sovereignty as the through-line.

As co-founder of ai.nl and The Automation Group, Remy advises more than 350 organisations a year on the shift from generative to agentic AI. He is also Guest Lecturer in AI at Nyenrode Business University, where he teaches executives and MBA students on enterprise AI strategy. For his keynotes he meets Europe's AI frontrunners every month — Mistral, Aleph Alpha, Black Forest Labs, ASML and Helsing — on European AI and AI sovereignty, alongside pioneers in Silicon Valley and China. His work bridges three worlds: the builder who runs agents in production, the author behind seven AI books, and the speaker who takes the stage 150+ times a year.
Remy started his career as a tech entrepreneur and became editor-in-chief of MT/Sprout, where he taught Dutch executives which technologies actually matter. He went on to host Cybersessies on RTL Z, a weekly show unpacking the impact of digital change on business. Today he is co-host of the new radio show ‘AI at Work’ for BusinessWise, where he sits down weekly with entrepreneurs and executives to unpack how AI is reshaping the workplace. That entrepreneurial discipline — build, test, translate — still underpins every keynote he delivers today.
Since 2018 Remy has been firmly on the building side. With ai.nl he built one of the most relevant knowledge platforms on artificial intelligence. With The Automation Group he ships agentic workflows into enterprise environments every week. This hands-on role keeps every claim on stage rooted in a real production system.
To stay ahead of the curve, Remy travels several times a year to Silicon Valley and China. There he meets researchers and founders at OpenAI, Nvidia, Anthropic and Tencent. He translates those frontline insights directly into the European context — where the EU AI Act, sovereignty and adoption speed shape the game.
